Brian Pohlmeier

 

Brian Pohlmeier is a businessman, a family man, and an active supporter of civic causes. He has been involved with a wide range of local organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce, Plainview–Hale County Industrial Foundation, Leadership Plainview, Hale County Senior Citizens, and many more.

He was born in 1953 in Tulia, graduated from high school there, and earned a degree in finance from Texas Tech in 1976. In 1988 he received a postgraduate degree from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University. He married Peggy Rossi, another Tulia native, in 1979. They have two children.

Brian’s long career in finance and banking includes stints as vice-president of the First State Bank in Tulia, vice-president of the Plainview Production Credit Association, president of the Bank of Commerce in McLean, executive vice-president and board member of the Hale County State Bank in Plainview, and board member of the First National Bank in Hereford and Clayton, New Mexico. Brian is an active member of St. Alice Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoys all outdoor activities from hunting, fishing, and golf to backyard grilling. He was named Plainview’s Man of the Year in 2005.
